What is anorexia?

Those people who suffer anorexia feel a real fear of getting fat and have a distorted image of both the dimensions and the shape of their body.

Therefore, they can not maintain a normal body weight.

Many adolescents with anorexia restrict food intake by dieting, fasting and even excessive physical exercise.

They almost do not eat, and what little they eat becomes an obsession.

Other people who suffer from anorexia resort to binge eating and subsequent purges : they eat large amounts of food and then try to eliminate calories by vomiting, taking laxatives, doing excess physical exercises, or by a combination of several of these actions.
