Es por estas dos razones : El Clima y Dosel(The Weather and Canopy)Explicación : El Clima : ya que en las selvas tropicales se recibe mucha luz solar y la energía del sol la absorben las plantas (por fotosíntesis) lo que sirve para el crecimiento del carbono y varios otros materiales esenciales para la vida y gracias a esto la energía de estas plantas dan alimento a gran cantidad de animales.
Dosel : Gracias a la estructura del dosel de la selva tropical esta ofrece alimento y refugio para todo tipo de animales.
