Bueno el not gerneralment se utiliza con verbo to be, aqui te pongo uno ejemplos :
he is not my cousin ( él no es mi primo)
you are not a studient ( tu no eres un estudiante)
she is not my moyher, she is my sister (ella no e smi mamá, es mi hermana)
ahora tambien se puede usar con verbo auxiliar en su forma "larga"
she does not (doesn't) her homework ( ella no ahce su tarea)
my mother does not (doesn't) cook ( my mamá no cocina)
