How has the writer organised the information?

Writing is the organization of textual information.

Here we present :

1) A theoretical framework in which two informative levels are distinguished : a) the articulation of sentences in theme and row and the schemes of thematic - retreat progression of the text b) the distribution of the given information and the new information.

2) The analysis of a literary text that reflects the convenience of separating both levels in the study of the information structure.

3) Suggestions for the teaching of writing in L2 in relation to the hierarchical and organized arrangement of information.
