There is : Este en ingles lo usamos para el singular, osea para expresar la existencia de un algo o alguien (solo UNO)

Un ejemplo :

There is a chair in the classroom (hay un silla en el salon de clases)

There is a book in the chair (hay un libro en la silla)

Aca te doy mas :
