It was 3 : 00 am cold and dark, there were going to burst into the house of Jeff's teacher to take back Jeff's phone, they do not know how to get into the house, so Jhon had an idea.

He was going to help Jeff to get into the second - floor window to see if it was open, they did that, Jeff could open the window, but the alarm starts to make noise.

Jhon was nervous, he doubted to stay a little longer to wait for Jeff or run before the cops get there.

The sirens start to sound, first far but at every second they sound closer and closer, he start running, when Jhon was far he look back and saw Jeff trying to get out from the house but he couldn't because it was high, so Jeff jump in the landing Jeff broke a leg and he wasn't able to run, so the cops saw him and arrest Jeff without thinking it twice.
